2006: Nusha Bar – Cambridge UK

It was 2006 and Undisputed Grooves had finished it’s residency at edwards bar. There was many a sunrise sitting up on a roof, as we planned the next move for the UG party. We’d already beat all the records during our two year residency at Edwards Bar, given out T-shirts and CD Mixtapes which generated a tidy following of Grooverteers. The UG team thought we should keep doing the party, but this time Damien Jay and Uncle T decided to do something a little bit more up close and personal.

This time UG decided to take the party closer to home and good fortune brought us to a friend that owned one of Cambridge’s trendiest cocktail bars; Nusha bar.

This time invited to join the UG team, we decided to invite a Peterborough native that we’d had play a couple of tunes at Edwards Bar, that was Alex H.

The Music played for the Nusha Bar Undisputed Grooves party was a whole night played on vinyl records. Alex H and Damien Jay, along with Uncle T boosted the house with uplifting, feel good and sexy house music with the occasional; “excuse me, can you play hip hop?” —- “Ummmmm…Nope”

As ever it was the very best in feel good dance music, from both sides of the Atlantic. There was an Undisputed Grooves give away with UG T-shirts and the Mixtapes that were out at the time; Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3 and Vol 4

The bar was full of cheeky grins and happy faces and was a spot on: ‘hands-in-the-air-affair’
